Love, thick and dark as Alaga syrup, eased up into that cracked window. I could smell it--taste it--sweet, musty, with an edge of wintergreen in its base--everywhere in that house.
Comments:
Food was everywhere in this book. I especially enjoyed the way Morrison used food to describe things that were completely unrelated to food. Instead of entering every single food reference I have limited the food quotes to those where food is used in this way.
